Monica is a full-time Nurse Practitioner in the Acute Care Clinic (ACC) at the UT Student Health Center. Appointments are scheduled by calling our Phone Triage Nurse at (865) 974- 5080. The ACC serves patients with same-day, non-emergent health care issues. Potentially emergent health care issues like chest pain, difficulty breathing, persistent abdominal pain, head injury, and “worst ever” headache are referred to an Emergency Room where they may be more appropriately assessed and treated. If you need to contact Monica Sweeney, APN, regarding a recent visit to the clinic, you may reach her nurse at (865) 974-5222. Monica will not call in an antibiotic prescription without seeing you in the clinic.
