At the Student Health Center, patients are seen by appointment only. You can schedule an appointment with several services and clinics within the Student Health Center. Visit the Clinics and Services for more information.
With the Online Scheduling/Student Health Portal, you are able to schedule, change, and cancel your own clinic appointments. You may also complete forms necessary for your care and receive private messages regarding your care from a health care provider.
Due to the nature of some health concerns, some reasons for seeing a health care provider are not listed on the Student Health Portal. If you cannot find your appointment reason in our appointment reason list, it is because more information will be needed to appropriately schedule your appointment. Please contact an Appointment Clerk at 865-974-3648 or our Telephone Triage Nurse at 865-974-5080 during regular Health Center hours to discuss your other scheduling options.
Should you develop new or worsening signs or symptoms prior to your appointment, contact our Telephone Triage Nurse at 865-974-5090 during regular business hours. If it is after hours, go to the University of Tennessee Medical Center Emergency Room (UTER) or the nearest emergency room for sooner evaluation. Delaying appropriate care could worsen your condition and adversely affect your health.
UT Student Health Center is not an emergency room or an urgent care center. If you need urgent/emergent evaluation and care, go to the nearest emergency room. If you need emergency medical services (EMS), call 911.
Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment. If you arrive late, you will be asked to reschedule.
If you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment, contact the Appointment Clerk at 865-974-3648 or utilize the Online Scheduling/Student Health Portal to cancel or reschedule at least one hour prior to your appointment time.
