Pam Waddell is a Knoxville native and University of Tennessee Alumni. Pam is a certified Advance Practice Nurse, specializing in Family Practice. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1993. Pam earned a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Carson-Newman College in 1999. She has a dual licensure from the State of Tennessee as a Registered Nurse and an Advanced Practice Nurse. She maintains national certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Her experience includes 6 years as a Registered Nurse with critical care experience, as well as, 14 years as a Nurse Practitioner in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, and Urgent Care.
Pam is a full-time Nurse Practitioner in the Acute Care & Sick Clinic at UT Student Health Center. Appointments are scheduled by calling our Phone Triage Nurse at (865) 974- 5080. The ACC/Sick clinic serves patients with same-day, non-emergent health care issues. Potentially emergent health care issues like chest pain, difficulty breathing, persistent abdominal pain, and “worst ever” headache are referred to an Emergency Room where they may be more appropriately assessed and treated.
