Laboratory Services (865)974-5900
The Student Health Center, Laboratory Services is a certified lab for outpatient testing. Most laboratory tests ordered by our Providers are performed on-site. With some lab test requests, samples must be obtained on-site and then forwarded to a central lab facility for completion. Not only does our lab obtain and/or perform tests requested by our Providers, but also honors approved requests by Providers from other facilities. As patients are not permitted to directly schedule appointments with the lab, it is first necessary to schedule an appointment with a Provider at our facility for a request to be approved. An appointment can then be scheduled with the lab by the Provider or, dependent on the lab request, obtained at the time of the visit.
